Spiced Pecans Recipe
These sweet-spicy pecans are flavorful enough for great solo snacking, but subtle enough to blend well with other ingredients in salads or stir-fries.

Ingredients
Serves 3 Cups
1  

egg white, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3 cups pecan halves

Directions 
 

Pre-heat oven to 300°

1. Beat the egg white until frothy in a medium mixing bowl.

2. Add the butter, sugar, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the egg whites and mix well.

3.Add the pecans to the mixture and toss lightly until the nuts are evenly coated.

4.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon non-stick baking mat*. Spread the nuts evenly on the baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, stirring once to flip the nuts over after ten minutes, and monitoring closely to prevent over baking.

5. Immediately transfer the finished nuts to a large plate. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

*Always place your silicon baking mat shiny side up. Baking on the dull side may cause burning.
