Fudgesicles Two Ways

Mochasicles or Chocolate Malt pops, the choice is yours.

Ingredients
Serves 10 5-ounce fudgesicles
1/4 cup cornstarch
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon espresso powder or 2 tablespoons malt powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
10 5-ounce

disposable paper cups and wooden sticks, or your favorite freezer pop molds

 
 
Directions 
 
  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the cornstarch, sugar, cocoa, espresso powder or malt powder and salt.

  2. Place the pan over medium heat and slowly whisk in the milk.

  3. Bring to a low boil and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken and will coat the back of a spoon.

  4. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

  5. Cool slightly.

  6. Press a piece of plastic wrap over the top of the pudding and cool completely.

  7. Pour into molds or cups.

  8. Cover with foil and push the sticks through the foil into center of each pop.

  9. Freeze until firm, 8 hours or overnight.

 

 
Preparation time: Approximately 15 minutes plus 9 hours plus downtime.
