HOW TO
Clean and Slice Mushrooms Quickly

Get yourself a trusty mushroom brush, bring out your egg-slicer, and start producing perfect mushroom slices.
     
  1. Never wash a mushroom with water. They are porous and soak up the liquid. .  
       
  2. Use a special mushroom brush—or one with soft bristles. Gently remove the dirt. Trim the stem if required in your recipe.  
       
  3.Place the mushroom in the egg slicer.  
       
 

4. Pull the wire top down through the mushroom. Check to see if it cleared the wire cutters completely—Give it a gently push if required.

 

 
       
  5. Voila—Perfectly sliced mushrooms!
