Camembert Cheese and
Ham Tarts

These savory tarts take just a couple of minutes to prepare, and are spectacularly delicious when eaten fresh and warm from the oven. Feel free to assemble the tarts up to two hours ahead, then pop them in the oven at the last minute.

Serves 22–24 tarts
24 raw or pre-baked miniature tart shells*
4 ounces Rouge et Noir Camembert, cut into very small pieces
1 cup finely chopped ham
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
~ chili sauce

Find small tart shells at super stores like COSTCO, select grocery, and gourmet cookware/food boutiques. Do not purchase dessert shells as they are sweet.


Preheat oven to 325 °

  1. Combine the Camembert, ham, walnuts and chili sauce in a bowl.
  2. Fill the pre-baked tart shells and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Place on the middle rack of the oven and bake until golden.
  4. Serve warm.
