Crème Chantilly

Crème Chantilly is simply the French term for whipped cream. But doesn’t it sound that much more delectable? Using powdered sugar rather than granulated makes the finished cream a bit more stable.

1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Chill the beaters and bowl before whipping the cream.

  1. Place the cream in chilled bowl and whip with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. Add the sugar and vanilla and whip just until stiff peaks form. Do not overbeat.
