Ingredients

 

1 10-ounce bag puri snacks*
1 15 1/2 -ounce can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
2 boiled potatoes, cubed in ½-inch pieces
1 raita
1 cup tamarind chutney
1 16-ounce bag sev**
~ chili powder
~ garam masala
~ salt
~ cilantro leaves for decoration


  *Puri snacks are Indian packaged crackers made from flour and spices. They are eaten as a snack, and used in various dishes.**Sev is a type of Indian noodle made with gram flour and used to top chaat and other preparations.
Directions
  1. Set out four small plates and place 10 puries on each.
  2. Top with two to three tablespoons each of the garbanzo beans and cubed potatoes.
  3. Beat the raita so that it is runny rather than thick.
  4. Drizzle two to three tablespoons each of the raita and tamarind chutney over the mixture.
  5. Top with several tablespoons of sev.
  6. Sprinkle chili powder, garam masala, and salt over the top, and top with cilantro leaves. Serve immediately.
