
This classic Moroccan dish takes just a few minutes to prepare, and makes a refreshing alternative to ordinary fruit salad.



4 | oranges, peeled and sliced crosswise into rounds | |
¼ | cup | orange blossom water* |
1 | tablespoon | freshly squeezed lemon juice |
1 | tablespoon | honey |
½ | teaspoon | ground cinnamon |
6-8 | dates, pitted and sliced lengthwise | |
¼ | cup | chopped toasted pistachio nuts |
~ | mint leaves for decoration |
*Find orange blossom water in the liquor section of your supermarket or at the liquor store. |
- Place the sliced oranges in a spacious bowl and set aside.
- Combine the orange blossom water, lemon juice, honey, and cinnamon in a small bowl and whisk until mixed.
- Pour the dressing over the orange slices and toss lightly to coat.
- Arrange the oranges on individual plates or a decorative platter and pour the excess dressing over the top.
- Arrange the dates around the orange slices and sprinkle the pistachio nuts over the salad. Decorate with mint leaves.
