This slaw adds a tangy garnish that can perk up just about any meal. Try it on pulled pork sandwiches, sliders and fish tacos!
Cilantro Slaw | ||
1 | head | green cabbage, thinly sliced into bite-sized pieces |
1/2 | bunch | cilantro leaves and tender young stems, roughly chopped* |
Lime Dressing | ||
1/3 | cup | freshly squeezed lime juice** |
1/3 | cup | vegetable oil |
2 | tablespoons | honey |
1/2 | teaspoon | crushed garlic |
1 | whole | jalapeño pepper, seeds and ribs removed; finely chopped |
1 | teaspoon | salt |
*Use the leaves and tender stems, not the thicker stems.
**Juice for this dressing must be freshly squeezed—do not substitute with bottled.
