Horseradish Spread

This zesty condiment is most popular on roast beef sandwiches, but it’s also delicious with lamb, turkey, and other meats.

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cream cheese, room temperature
4 tablespoons bottled prepared horseradish*
2 minced scalions, white parts only
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* Make sure to use regular prepared horseradish, not the “creamed” variety, which lacks flavor. 


  1. Combine the sour cream, cream cheese, horseradish, scallions, salt, and pepper in a spacious mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2. Cover and place in the refrigerator for one to two hours to develop the flavor.
