Mango Sauce

Dessert sauces don’t get much easier than this! Try this colorful, fragrant topping over pound cake with a sprinkle of blueberries.

2 cups canned mango, pureed*
1/2 cup sugar
* Buy canned Alfonso mango puree at Indian grocery stores or online stores such as

1. Pour the mango puree into a saucepan set over medium heat.

2. Add the sugar and cook, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves.

3. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.

5 minutes plus several hours downtime.
