
The key to a fabulous burger is serving it perfectly hot off the grill, so make sure to have your bun and green chilies warmed and ready to go as soon as the burger is cooked. If you’re feeling truly indulgent, pile on some of your favorite chili and chopped onions as well!



1/3 | pound | ground chuck |
2–3 | tablespoons | blue cheese |
1 | large | whole roasted green chili |
~ | salt | |
~ | freshly ground black pepper | |
1 | slice | crisp bacon |
1 | hard French or Sour Dough sandwich roll, split lengthwise |
1. Form the meat into a patty that fits your roll.
2. Grill or fry it to on one side, then flip, top with cheese and continue cooking until the patty reaches desired doneness and the cheese is melted.
3. While the burger is cooking, warm the chili and the roll on the grill (or in a warm oven).
4. Place the cooked burger, cheese, and chili on the bottom half of the roll.
5. Season salt and pepper to taste and top with the bacon.
6. Top with the remaining roll and serve immediately.
