Moroccan Tea
Recipe

This delicious, mint-infused tea is even more exotically appealing when poured using the Moroccan-style method; holding a long-necked tea pot high above the cup. (Of course it’s tasty from a regular pot, too.)

Ingredients
Serves 4 cups
~   hot water for warming the tea pot
4 cups boiling water
3 teaspoons loose Chinese green tea, placed in a tea infuser
6–8  sprigs fresh mint leaves
1/3 cup sugar
~   garnish with mint sprigs if desired

Directions

  1. Fill the tea pot with hot water and set aside while you boil the water. Pour out the water when ready to brew the tea.

  2. Place the tea infuser and mint in the tea pot and cover with the boiling water. Let steep for five minutes.

  3. Remove the infuser.

  4. Add the sugar and mix well.

  5. If using a Moroccan pot and tea glasses, hold the teapot 12 to 14 inches above the glasses and pour.

  6. Add a fresh mint sprig and serve.

Preparation time: Approximately 7 minutes.
