Charmoon Richardson has been collecting and studying wild mushrooms in northern California for over 30 years. Founder and owner of the Wild About Mushrooms Co., he has overseen countless educational mushroom adventures, from simple afternoon classes to elaborately catered multi-day mushroom-hunting forays in the wild. A past president of the Sonoma County Mycological Association, Charmoon also works with restaurants and wineries producing special mushroom-themed events.
Charmoon has been interested in food and cooking since childhood. He honed his culinary skills working with caterers, restaurants and culinary visionaries including the legendary MFK Fisher. He has been a guest chef on "Food Nation with Bobby Flay" and has been featured extensively on radio and in print. Charmoon makes his home in Forestville, California.
